Like every year the 4th edition of the enogastronomic exhibition Bonton, will take place between the 25th and 28th of June. Dedicated to the tuna fish, the traditional Mattanza Trapanese but not limited to … ..
2009 will be a special edition, an “international meeting” with the presence of the food reporter known as Chef Kumalo, signature of quality in the international world.
Bridge between the province of Trapani and the Mediterranean, Bonton offers also a cuisine that comes from “the other side of the sea”: Catalan chef Oriol Blanes, educational coordinator of the Gastronomic Chamber of the Emprordà will be in Bonton to present the best dishes of the Catalan cuisine.
But there’s more! Bonton is now part of the “International Association of the Mediterranean cuisines, along with all of those who want to defend the Mediterranean culinary traditions, like tuna, tuna products, oil, wine and all the other typical of the province of Trapani, which are found in Bonton.
From June 25-28, you can expect four days of celebration with live cooking, wine tasting, exhibition stands, seminars and lots of music! Protagonist, as always, at the Tonnara Bonagia, where chefs, journalists, writers and artists will take turns to tell the Mediterranean culture and cuisine.
But, as the coast of the province of Trapani is all associated with the tradition of tuna and tonnaroti, Bonton this year, “in the wake of tuna” is also in Favignana, Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito Lo Capo, a moment of encounter and celebration that involves all the historical “city of the Tonnaras.”
